Календарь, посвященный 100-летию Ольги Александровны Ладыженской.

7 марта 2022 года исполняется 100 лет со дня рождения Ольги Александровны Ладыженской (1922—2022), выдающегося математика, академика РАН. Ольга Александровна была одним из мировых лидеров в области дифференциальных уравнений в частных производных и математической физики во второй половине двадцатого века. В течение длительного времени Ольга Александровна была профессором нашей кафедры и воспитала многих талантливых учеников. Планируется проведение двух конференций в Санкт-Петербурге, посвященных столетию О.А. Ладыженской.

Конференция «Mathematical hydrodynamics: the legacy of Olga Ladyzhenskaya and modern perspectives» пройдет 23-27 мая в Международном математическом институте имени Леонарда Эйлера.

ABOUT

The conference is intended as a kickoff event and is to be hosted at
the Sirius Center in Sochi, Russia. The program will include invited
talks that are expected to cover a wide range of topics, such as
operator theory, spectral theory, scattering theory, inverse problems,
periodic and ergodic operators, asymptotic methods, classical
mathematical physics.

DATES

The conference will be held from February 3 through February 7, 2020.
Participants are expected to arrive on Sunday, February 2, and depart
on Saturday, February 8.

Тематика конференции посвящена следующим проблемам. Детерминантные и пфаффианные процессы, ветвящиеся процессы, спектры случайных матриц, гауссовские процессы, диффузионные процессы, усреднение периодических операторов, случайные графы, статистическая механика.

С 4 по 15 сентября 2016 г. в Университете Гутенберга (Майнц, Германия) проводилась совместная Германо-российско-украинская летняя школа «Spectral Theory, Differential Equations and Probability».

Организация и проведение Школы было поддержано грантом volkswagenstiftung (Фольксваген).

OTAMP conferences are organized every second year since 2002. They were held in 2002 ,2004 (Bedlewo, Poland), 2006 (Lund, Sweden), 2008, 2010 (Bedlewo, Poland), 2012 (Barcelona, Spain), 2014 (Stockholm, Sweden).

The next OTAMP conference will be held at the Euler International Mathematical Institute at Saint Petersburg.
The Petersburg Mathematical School in Analysis, Differential Equations, Mathematical Physics and Probability is well-known in the mathematical world for last two centuries.

The scope and the aim of the conference is to bring together specialists, working in the various fields of mathematical physics and pure mathematics both, especially working in analysis and its applications in order to arrange exchange of ideas, new results and help in the future and already existing collaborations.

It will be organized by the Euler International Mathematical Institute, Steklov Mathematical Institute of RAS (St.Petersburg Department) and the Saint Petersburg State University.

The conference is followed by the Summer School: «Various Aspects of Mathematical Physics» for young mathematicians to be held at the Euler International Mathematical Institute, August 8-11.

The School is organized by the Euler International Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a branch of Steklov Mathematical Institute RAN, Saint Petersburg, Russia. and Saint-Petersburg State University, Universitetskaya nab. 7/9, on August 8-11, 2016 and supported by RSF grant No 15-11-30007.

The instructors of the School include some of the leading international experts who are able to give exciting presentations to young scientists and university students. There is a limited number of grants that would provide financial support for accommodations and travelling expenses.

Annual St.Petersburg Conference in Spectral Theory
dedicated to the memory of M.Sh.Birman

The conference is devoted to the spectral theory, one of the most important fields of the modern mathematical physics, a field having numerous applications both in fundamental and in applied modern physics and mathematics. The spectral theory is one of the areas where the Saint Petersburg mathematical school is traditionally strong. Saint Petersburg State University was one of the places where the spectral theory was being created and developed. The names of professors Ludwig Faddeev (academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences), Mikhail Birman and Vladimir Buslaev are among the names of the world-known leaders in the field.

Now, the conference is a unique high level annual international conference in spectral theory taking place at the territory of the former USSR. The range of topics is very wide. Traditionally, there are talks devoted to the general operator theory, spectral theory of differential and difference operators, scattering theory, inverse problems, periodic and ergodic operators, asymptotic methods and applications to the modern quantum physics, classical mathematical physics and wave propagation theory. There are also talks devoted to interesting general analytic problems.

The conference takes place at the Euler International Mathematical Institute in the beginning of July, its duration is 4-5 days. Usually we organize about 18-22 50-minutes talks and a young scientist’s section.
